Books That Become Part Of Your Decor
Over the years we have collected numerous decorating books. Now, they have become a part of our decor in many of the rooms in our house.
In the kitchen we have a large selection of cookbooks. Our family room has several vignettes that include books as a place to display objects d’ art. And, our guest rooms have a selection for our guests to enjoy while staying with us.

Take Time To Be Inspired By Incredible Design
One of our favorite pastimes is to curl up on the couch with a comfy throw, and thumb through a few of our books. We never tire of viewing these beautiful “coffee table” books.

When we have visitors, they seem to enjoy our collection too.
It’s A Good Idea To Provide Interesting Reading Materials In Our Guest Rooms
We LOVE Bunny Williams, India Hicks, Mark D. Sikes, Charles Faudree, Kathryn M. Ireland and James Farmer. Audubon’s Birds Of America is an all time favorite. I remember my last visit to The Art Institute of Chicago and purchasing Audubon’s book. It was pretty heavy as I traveled home on the train, but totally worth it! I have often thought of tearing out some of these amazing photos and having them framed, but just cannot bring myself to destroy this treasure.

Taking A Break From Social Media
In this day and age of social media, Pinterest, and so many decorating and lifestyle blogs, it is nice to enjoy a book now and then.
For some reason, we are not reading as many books as we used to in the past. Both the hubs and I enjoy a good mystery novel, but seem to be online more than before. Reading a good book is such a pleasure and is something that I wanted to spend more time doing when we were working full time. Now, we have no excuse, as we are semi-retired and certainly have the time.
I am pledging to take a break from social media and to read more. Join us in spending more time curled up with a good book.
P.s., that’s only 5 years, here at Troy, for that free amt.!!!. Donna
