Luxe for less…Homegoods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls oh my!
One of the primary focuses of Luxe du Jour is to introduce you to great finds and luxe style for decorating without breaking the bank.
I have been a HUGE fan of Homegoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls for many years, and they just keep getting better. They offer online shopping, or you can opt to just pop in. You will be amazed at what you can find. AND, soon a new store called HOMESENSE will be coming to your area. Most of the stores are located in the northeastern United States, but they are adding stores at a rapid pace. You can always go online to http://www.homesense.com to check out this unbelievable homewares source.
There are so many great gifts, items for your home and food items that you would find in high-end department or gourmet stores.
I buy a lot of my decorating items and accessories at Homegoods and must say that shopping there is rather dangerous. I mean, how many sets of dishes, tablecloths or topiaries does our home need?
Even if you are just looking for inspiration, they merchandise their items by category and color to help you find the specific looks you desire. They have a large selection of Tommy Bahama dishware and accessories, which I love. You just never know what you will find. That is why when I am driving around, I always stop in to see what is available.
You can find Ralph Lauren bedding, beautifully scented candles, dishes, and just about anything you need to “luxe up” your space.
Oh yes, and the variety of tablecloths and linen napkins are amazing! One of the things I enjoy to make life a little more special is using linen napkins every day. I always shop the sale aisle and find some incredible finds that you can use for everyday dining.
And, they do have a great selection of herbs and spices, olive oils, gourmet sauces and other items to enhance your cooking efforts.
A future post will be featuring Homegoods sister stores, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. While both have great housewares, I love the jewelry at TJs, where I can find good quality sterling silver and designer watches by Kate Spade (RIP Kate) and other luxury brands. You can also find great clothes with the latest trends. What I love is that there are only a few of each item and unlike shopping at major department stores you do not see your friends wearing the same look.
