Detroit Garden Works specializes in the most spectacular antique and vintage garden ornaments from around the world.
The outside garden area has some large-scale pieces including gazebos, sculptures and decorative benches. You will see items from all around the world. Don’t miss the “backroom” where there is a large assortment of pots. I love the vintage-inspired containers that are a bit more reasonably priced. Keep in mind that if you are purchasing a pot that is over a hundred years old, and from England, you will be paying much more than if you purchase a replica.
There are extraordinary containers, garden ornamentals, home décor items and some very unique gifts. I have purchased several gifts and my friends and family just love receiving these one-of-a-kind items. If you love gardening, you will love Detroit Garden Works.
They can arrange to ship to your home or if you are in the area, you should take some time to walk around and enjoy this incredible location.
I always stop at Roadside B & G for lunch after perusing Detroit Garden Works. They are about a 10-minute drive away in West Bloomfield. They have a great menu and describe themselves as a contemporary, creative bar and grill. The atmosphere is more bistro-like versus bar and grill. I love their Southwest Grilled Shrimp Salad and Roasted Turkey Reuben. They always feature several special entrees and soups that add to the already excellent choices.
Create a perfect day with a visit to Detroit Garden Works followed by a delicious lunch at Roadside B & G. Enjoy!
