Easter Sunday Dinner On The Patio
We hope that the weather stays just like it is for Easter Sunday. Our patio overlooking the marsh is a perfect place for an alfresco meal. By adding a few spring touches, a bunny or two and some small bird nests we are setting the scene for a festive meal.
This year we are planning a pretty “low-key” Easter celebration. We plan to meet some friends for lunch after church and then will return home to enjoy our traditional Easter dinner. We have tried to change our menu over the years, but always come back to our favorite.

The Perfect Menu
There is nothing we love more than a baked ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans and a mandarin orange salad. Fresh and yummy! The honey baked, spiral cut ham from The Fresh Market is a real treat. It is perfect every time!
We like to serve a crisp Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc with this meal as it pairs very well with the saltiness of the ham and the creamy, cheesy potatoes. It’s the perfect match!
Just in case the weather does not cooperate we are ready to dine either outside or in our breakfast room. Either way we will make it special and enjoy each others company.

What To Do With The Leftovers
Then, there is the split pea soup that we make the next day with the ham bone. It is a simple and hearty soup that is so delicious. We have a couple of bowls and then freeze the rest for later. Fortunately, it freezes well and we can heat some up whenever we have a craving.
Happy Easter To You And Your Family
So, what do you have planned for Easter? Perhaps you are planning to go to church or to spend time with family or friends for brunch. No matter what you decide to do enjoy this special day. Blessings from us at Luxe du Jour.
Always nice. Tks.
