Have you ever heard of the incredible benefits of dry brushing?
I am always looking for healthy solutions and ways to enhance my life.
Many years ago, I read about dry brushing and found out it is an effective way to improve skin quality and to detox the system. I never really began the process, but think I will try this now.

All you need is a soft, but firm brush and a little time in the morning. I just picked up a brush with a long handle at Whole Foods for under $10 and plan to give this a try.

Many studies show that dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, which is responsible for collecting and transporting waste to the blood. By invigorating the skin, you are stimulating your lymphatic system.
You can use the brush totally dry, or you can add some body oil. I am using lavender oil by Aura Cacia, and it is divine. It is recommended that you dry brush in the morning versus before bed, due to the energizing qualities derived from the brushing. And it is preferred that you shower afterward to remove dead skin cells.
You should start at your feet and brush upward towards your heart. Then, move to your arms, beginning at your hands and work toward the heart. Use firm, small strokes. For the stomach and chest area, work in a counterclockwise pattern.
I got a brush with the long handle to help reach areas on my back and hard to reach areas.
An added bonus is that through the increased circulation and exfoliation this may smooth the appearance of cellulite, too. That’s got to be a good thing!
