It’s Fall Y’All
Seems we are a little late getting our Fall decor in place. Frankly, I struggle with combining coastal decor with fall items.
We have a lot of sets of dishes with a more rustic “look” and some linens and chargers that are richer in color. These were the perfect start to our completed Fall tables cape.
Yummy Fall Recipes
Now, it’s time to whip up a pot of Butternut Squash Soup. This is a favorite recipe that is rich and creamy without adding cream or any dairy. A “hint” of curry powder is the special ingredient that takes this recipe to a new level.
We love to pair our squash soup with a rich Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet.
Cooler Weather Calls For “Warming” Meals
Do you change up your menus to reflect the cooler weather and incorporate items that are seasonally available? We tend to eat more soups and stews during the Fall and Winter.

Visit this post for our delicious Butternut Squash Soup Recipe and some additional Fall inspo. Or, if you enjoy risotto, you will definitely want this easy peasy recipe that you can adapt by adding different ingredients to make it your own. One of our favorite combinations is ham and pea or mushroom and shallot. The options are endless!

Fireside Chats And Yummy Meals
We look forward to fireside chats and dining during the cooler weather. Sometimes we just have a super casual dinner of soup, salad and some crusty sourdough bread. One of our next projects is to master the process of making our own sourdough. Several friends have made this and say it is super easy once you have the starter. We tasted some sourdough at a recent party and it was so delish!
Stay tuned to hear about other delicious Fall specialties.
