Change Is Good
We are changing things up a bit this week with a specialty cocktail.
Usually, we feature a recipe for a special meal that is given to us from a friend, but we just could not resist sharing this with you all.
A friend of ours that we have known FOREVER gave us this recipe for a blended banana drink. WOW! is it good.
Who Doesn’t Enjoy A Specialty Cocktail?
Since it is a “fancy” cocktail (Linda this one is for you) we decided to serve ours in crystal martini glasses. A little grinding of fresh nutmeg on top added a nice extra layer of flavor. The nutmeg is optional but we really liked this addition.
You probably always have a few overripe bananas and you are just not sure what to do with them? We freeze them to use in banana bread and other smoothie recipes. Now, we have another way to use our frozen bananas in a cocktail.
Peel the bananas first and freeze them in a bag separated a bit so that you can pull one or two out at a time. These frozen treats are the main ingredient for this fun cocktail. There is no need to add ice. The frozen banana is all you need to make this cold and frothy.
It’s called the Dirty Banana Cocktail. You have heard of a dirty martini and now we are sharing our Dirty Banana recipe with you. Trust me it is incredible.
It’s super hot here in South Florida at this time of year and an ice-cold beverage is always welcome.
So why not join us, put your feet up and have a special libation this weekend. We know that this will become your new favorite.
A Wonderful Recipe To Serve With Your Cocktail
A great “tropical” recipe to serve with this is Mo’s Chicken Satay. We love to serve this with Coconut Mango dipping sauce. These go sooooo well with The Dirty Banana beverage. Yum!
