In addition to my love of botanicals and all things natural and luxe, I have incorporated several items featuring birds into my décor. You can read about this here.
Several years ago, while living in Chicago, I bought the elephant folio entitled Audubon’s Birds Of America coffee table book. It is enormous and weighs so much, but I just had to have it. Often, I have been tempted to pull some of these great photos from the book to frame them, but have refrained.
The intricate details in the book are incredible! I enjoy just leafing through the folio and enjoying this fantastic art and talent.

Another great book that caught my attention is Gardens Around The World 365 Days. I love beautiful gardens, and some of the pictures inspired our Tuscan styled pool area. The front cover features a pool with fountains. We opted to have the bottom of our pool painted Tuscan blue to create a reflection pool effect.
There are a variety of garden styles featured in the book that are so inspiring. If you are planning to change up your landscape or pool area, this book is an excellent resource.

I guess it was Birds of America that inspired me, to incorporate birdcages and bird figurines in our décor and outside in our backyard. I don’t think I have overdone it yet, but need to keep my love of our feathered friends under control. Tweet!
What books inspire you? I know you would love both of these favorites.
I love books, too! Especially inspirational home decor ones! Thanks for the recommendations.
Love your blog!
Happy day!
