A dear friend of ours is definitely enjoying a luxe life while living in the Atlanta area. A few years ago, she decided to plant a cutting garden and has enjoyed having fresh bouquets in her home every day. The time and effort spent in her lovely garden is a labor of love. Even after a stressful day, and running a large company she spends some quality time pruning and replanting to create this gorgeous outdoor space. It’s better than therapy!

I understand that she gets quite a bit of help and support from her hubs. When he is not on the golf course, he helps with some of the heavy work. She creates this beautiful outdoor space and he helps to fulfill her vision. What a perfect match!
As fall approaches, most cutting gardens are ready for their last harvest, however, there are some flowers that last well into the fall and they make gorgeous arrangements. Here in our area, this is the time to plant our gardens, as the weather cools down a bit.
Perhaps consider planting dahlias, goldenrods, mums or sunflowers. With good planning, you can enjoy different varieties well into the fall.
We do not have a cutting garden here in South Florida, however, we have a small herb garden in our backyard and love picking fresh herbs to enhance our recipes. Our yard space is limited, so I probably will not be able to plant a cutting garden, but maybe I will add some florals to the herbs and see how that works.

There really is nothing more luxe than having fresh flowers in your home. This is one of the things that I enjoy every day. Even if it is just some fresh roses from the grocery store, you can add some branches or greens from the yard to create a beautiful arrangement.
